The Democrat Party might want to invest in fire extinguishers because things are burning down fast—and Sunday morning, Reince Priebus was happy to light the match.
On ABC’s “This Week,” the former Trump White House chief of staff went head-to-head with radical gun-control activist and newly minted DNC Vice Chair David Hogg in a blistering exchange over, of all things, defending an MS-13-affiliated illegal immigrant.
Priebus, a former RNC chairman, wasted no time hammering Hogg over his public vow to spend $20 million to unseat longtime Democratic incumbents. “If I were running the DNC,” Priebus said, “he’d be gone. You can’t be on the board of Greenpeace and Exxon at the same time.”
That alone would have made for good Sunday TV, but then came the fireworks. The discussion shifted to Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant from Maryland who was deported to El Salvador and reportedly jailed in the country’s notorious CECOT prison. The Biden-era left erupted in outrage after Trump officials said Garcia was linked to MS-13, even after his U.S.-based wife accused him of domestic violence.
Democrats, of course, rushed to defend him. Sen. Chris Van Hollen actually boarded a plane to El Salvador to try and spring him from jail. Talk about putting America last.
Priebus fired the kill shot: “The Democrats are a complete mess. They have no movement. They have no message. They have no leader. And now you’re defending Harvard, you’re flying to El Salvador to advocate for MS-13 gang members.”
Cue David Hogg, fresh off his TikTok soapbox, who exploded with righteous indignation: “This was not an MS-13 gang member, and you damn well know that. In America, we have due process.”
But here’s the part Hogg left out: multiple intel agencies linked Garcia to MS-13, and polls consistently show the majority of Americans support Trump-style deportations. The only people crying over deported gang thugs are elite Democrats, progressive law professors, and the mainstream media.
And as for due process? Where was the due process when Trump supporters were thrown into solitary confinement for misdemeanor trespassing charges? Where was the rule of law when Democrats called to defund ICE and sanctuary cities released violent felons back onto American streets?
Reince wasn’t done. He called out the hypocrisy loud and clear. Democrats don’t care about law and order; they care about optics, feelings, and pandering to their fringe activist base. That’s why they’re going all in on protecting criminals while ignoring the victims.
The American people aren’t buying it anymore. They’re tired of being gaslit. They’re tired of watching radicals like Hogg get media platforms to sell dangerous policies dressed up as compassion.
And most of all, they’re tired of a party that seems more passionate about protecting illegal aliens than securing the southern border or protecting American citizens from fentanyl, crime, and chaos.
This wasn’t just a TV segment. It was a mirror reflecting the two visions of America: one led by a strong President Trump who puts Americans first, and another run by Democrats who treat criminals as victims and Americans as expendable.
If Sunday proved anything, it’s that the Left is cracking under the weight of its own double standards. And Reince Priebus? He just handed them a match and a microphone.
