‘You’re Aware There Is A Fence Around The White House?’: Blackburn Grills Mayorkas Over Border Wall

During a recent Judiciary Committee hearing, Tennessee Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn questioned Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas about border security and walls.

In her questioning, Blackburn destroyed Mayorkas over the Biden administration’s open border policies. She asked, “You’re aware there’s a wall around the White House?”

Her point? Walls work. That’s why Trump wanted to put one along the nation’s southern border and millions of Americans agreed with him.

Mayorkas has led the opposite approach. No wall, no enforcement of immigration laws and no arrests. Just an open door for anyone who wants to enter the nation.

It’s more difficult for an American to fly on a plane within the same state than for an illegal immigrant to cross the southern border. It’s actually harder in some parts of the country to enter a grocery store than to cross the border.

Why is the left’s adding more government overreach to its law-abiding citizens while offering less enforcement to those illegally entering our country?

It’s a fair question, and one Mayorkas was unprepared to answer. Americans appreciate their freedoms, but they also appreciate their nation being protected from those who could jeopardize them.
