The final U.S. military plane left Afghanistan last night in Kabul, with the Taliban shooting off rounds of American bullets to celebrate.
While many Americans might dismiss the foolish antics as no big deal, just remember — your taxpayer dollars funded the weapons and the ammo that was fired.
And that’s not all. According to one popular estimate online, $85 billion of American military equipment has been left behind. That’s enough to make the Taliban into one of the world’s top military powers.
Again, funded by your tax dollars. It’s one thing to point fingers at Biden and the left and argue a failed departure from Afghanistan. But when you realize you are funding this trash, it’s an entirely different feeling.
We should be outraged that the same nation behind 9/11 that killed nearly 3,000 innocent American now has a well-stocked radical military paid for by our own taxes. This is not acceptable.
It’s not enough to sit and watch. We need to act to make sure something this terrible does not happen again. 2022 (and 2024) can’t come soon enough to change Washington’s leadership for others who work to put America first.
