A “20-year-old white guy” purchasing 50 rounds of ammo, according to presenter Joy Behar of ABC’s The View, “should be reported.”
Behar stated, “According to a CNN report, a senior police official said that the shooter bought 50 rounds of ammo from a local gun store hours before the rally,” as reported by SkyNews.com. She and the other hosts were talking about the unsuccessful attempt to assassinate Donald Trump that had taken place two days earlier.
Behar responded, “Shouldn’t we have reported it?” She turned to face her colleagues and hosts. A twenty-year-old white man buys fifty rounds of ammunition; this is a common occurrence in recent times. Nobody mentioned that the young, white males with firearms had purchased fifty rounds of ammo.
Behar might not be aware that 9mm ammo is available for purchase in sets of 50 boxes. Ammunition is available in various calibers such as 45,.380,.38 Special,.40 S&W, and.357 Magnum, among others. As a result, reporting someone for purchasing “50 rounds of ammunition” would be equivalent to reporting someone for only purchasing one box of ammunition.

These days, rifle ammunition comes in a variety of box sizes, with the smallest typical being 20 rounds. By buying 2.5 boxes, one might reach the 50-round requirement without even filling two standard-sized 30-round magazines at the range.
