Sales of a limited-edition beer can featuring the well-known mugshot of former President Donald Trump apparently broke records in just a few hours after it was released.
According to Fox Business, chief executive officer of Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right Beer Seth Weathers said that the beer with Trump’s picture on it made $500,000 in just 12 hours.
As the first president in history to actually have his mugshot taken, former President Trump’s defiant expression in the face of a criminal charge has been the subject of product lines from corporations and merchandise shops, including Breitbart News. According to Weathers, he sold more than “five truckloads of cans” that featured the president’s picture on them. He called the beer “the highest-demand collector beer can in the history of America.”
“We anticipated a wild reaction from people upon seeing these collector cans, but we weren’t prepared for such an extreme reaction,” Weathers said.
Weathers expected a $2 million haul after the special edition cans ceased to be available, with 10% of the proceeds going to the Georgia Republican Party’s legal defense as well as the David Shafer Legal Defense Fund.
Weathers said, “Sales have poured in from the moment we launched, over $1 million worth of beer and other goods have been sold, and more than $50,000 has been made to help defend the Georgia Trump voters as well as the Georgia Republican Party in court. We are putting our money where our mouths are by making Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right Beer. We are doing everything we can to fight back against the unfair treatment of American heroes.”
Trump’s mugshot helped his bid for president in 2024; it is said to have brought in more than $7 million following the Georgia charge.
“This week, former President Trump turned himself into the Fulton County, Georgia, Sheriff’s Office. Since then, his campaign has collected $7.1 million,” Breitbart News revealed in August.
“After being indicted with 18 other individuals in a 98-page, 41-count indictment by Fulton County DA Fani Willis, Trump turned himself in. Trump was made to take a picture by Fulton County, which was his first mugshot in any of the four indictments he is currently facing,” the report said.
