Days after his conviction, former President Donald Trump was greeted by “thunderous applause” from the audience when he appeared at UFC 302, a mixed martial arts event hosted in Newark, New Jersey.
Trump paused to shake hands with a number of attendees as he made his way to his seat with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White, and the audience applauded him.
Trump will be present at the UFC 302 bout between Islam Makhachev and Dustin Poirier at the Prudential Center. A Manhattan jury found three counts of first-degree falsification of business records pertaining to payments made to adult entertainment star Stormy Daniels to be true.
Zach Gelb, the host of the sports radio talk show Zach Gelb Show, posted a video on X showing fans cheering as Trump left the packed arena.
The “round of applause” that Trump was getting from the audience, according to podcaster and UFC analyst Joe Rogan, was “staggering.”
One user commented on X, “Donald Trump arrives at UFC 302 to thunderous applause.” As the man enters the NJ Lightweight Championship match, the crowd goes crazy. Both Trump and UFC fans adore each other.
Video footage from the event showed the crowd yelling “F**k Joe Biden” shortly after the audience gave Trump a standing ovation.
The audience screamed, “We love Trump,” throughout the brawl.

Over 100,000 people were reportedly present for a Trump rally in the New Jersey beach town of Wildwood at the beginning of May.

According to a March Emerson College Polling/PIX11/the Hill survey, Trump’s lead against President Joe Biden in New Jersey was only a few points. The survey revealed that 46% of respondents would support Biden, while 39% would support Trump.
