This week, former President Donald Trump staged his first outdoor rally in Asheboro, North Carolina, since his shooting during an abortive attempt to kill him on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania. Due to security concerns, Trump now speaks to the crowd from behind plexiglass.
He talked for a long time, and the article below provides more in-depth coverage of what Ward Clark had to say. However, there was one instance throughout the rally that took everyone off guard. It looked like a woman in the crowd was experiencing a medical issue, probably caused by the heat.
Trump interrupted himself to call for a doctor to come help her. After a little while, he stepped from behind the plexiglass to the stage and down to the stands where she was, directly checking on her.
It seemed like the Secret Service personnel were rushing to be with him. They must have been ecstatic at his spontaneous action.
Nevertheless, he went to the stands where she was receiving care, struck up a conversation with her, and then embraced her tightly and planted a kiss atop her hat before heading backstage. Thank goodness, the woman seemed to be alright.

Unlike Butler, one anticipates (hopes?) that the event would screen everyone in the crowd and ensure adequate overwatch. Seeing him emerge from behind the protective glass in such an outdoor environment was still a little startling, especially considering the recent events. However, it was a clever moment that once again brought the guy the Democrats are doing everything in their power to malign to a personal level.
