[Watch] Obama’s Unhinged Meltdown Proves Leftist Hypocrisy

Barack Obama, the self-styled guardian of democracy, took the stage in Chicago on Thursday to lecture Americans about the supposed dangers of “one side” stacking the deck, stealing elections, and politicizing the government. Naturally, he conveniently skipped over the obvious fact that his own Democratic Party has practically made an art form out of all three.

At the Obama Foundation Democracy Forum, the former president lamented the perils of failing to uphold “pluralist ethics,” whatever that means this week. He warned of some ominous, unnamed political faction that might dare to “lock in a permanent grip on power” by suppressing votes, weaponizing the armed forces, or using the judiciary and criminal justice system to target opponents. The irony was apparently lost on Obama, who spent eight years perfecting those very tactics.

The left has already tried stacking the judiciary, targeting conservatives through the IRS, and weaponizing federal agencies like the FBI and DOJ to pursue political opponents. Obama’s administration set the gold standard for these antics. Remember Lois Lerner’s IRS targeting conservative groups? Or Operation Fast and Furious, where guns were handed to drug cartels in some bizarre scheme? Let’s not even get started on spying on Donald Trump’s campaign in 2016. And yet, Obama wants us to believe he’s the great defender of democracy.

As always, the former president was light on specifics but heavy on sanctimony. Without explicitly naming names, he seemed to point the finger at Republicans, projecting his party’s own sins onto his opponents. The timing couldn’t be more transparent. This is the same Obama who threw his full weight behind Kamala Harris’s doomed 2024 campaign, a debacle that handed Republicans victories in every battleground state and majorities in both chambers of Congress. Maybe this speech was an audition to revive his relevance after the Democrats’ complete collapse under his watch.

Obama’s track record of backing losers speaks for itself. He campaigned hard for Hillary Clinton in 2016, only to watch her crash and burn against Trump. Then he doubled down by endorsing Kamala Harris, one of the least inspiring candidates in modern political history. After Biden’s disastrous presidency, Obama helped orchestrate Harris’s coronation as the Democratic nominee, and we all saw how that turned out. But sure, let’s hear more about his theories on “democracy.”

While Obama claims to worry about threats to democracy, it’s the Republicans, led by President-elect Donald Trump, who are actually addressing the real dangers: election integrity, law and order, and protecting the rights of the average American. Trump’s America First agenda prioritizes the Constitution, accountability, and rooting out corruption—the very things Obama’s cronies worked so hard to undermine.

Obama’s speech is just another desperate attempt to rewrite history and distract from the Democrats’ failures. The real threat to democracy isn’t coming from Republicans—it’s coming from a Democratic Party that has repeatedly abused its power, silenced dissent, and ignored the will of the people. The good news? America rejected their nonsense in 2024, and with Trump returning to the White House, the adults are back in charge.
