After Democratic California Representative Nancy Pelosi gave anchor Katy Tur a heated tongue-lashing, fans of MSNBC went on the offensive.
When Tur tactfully refuted Pelosi’s diatribe, the former speaker of the House accused her of endorsing the former president Donald Trump’s employment record.
Pelosi stated, “Joe Biden is doing that; throughout his period in government, he produced 9 million jobs. Of all presidents, Donald Trump has the worst record of losing his jobs. All we need to do is ensure that people are aware.”
Tur cut in, “There was a pandemic on a worldwide scale.”
Pelosi, seemingly taken aback by her interruption, snapped at the anchor.
Of all the presidents, he had the worst record. In our nation, we have had other issues,” Pelosi said. “That may be your duty if you choose to defend Donald Trump, but it is not mine.”
Tur said, “I do not think anyone can accuse me of that.”
Concurring with Pelosi, other MSNBC watchers seized the chance to charge Tur with Republican-biased prejudice.
Pelosi essentially branded Katy Tur as a Trump supporter, and I am happy that someone finally brought it up. It is absurd to use the epidemic, which occurred in the last year of his administration, as a justification for his work history. One particularly well-liked comment said, “She is such an unserious hostess.”
Lesley Abravanel, a writer, said, “Thank you, Speaker Pelosi, for calling Katy Tur out on her awful politics for Trump!” “Pelosi referred to Biden as “the greatest president in history for jobs.” Tur answered. We are currently discussing the possibility of a worldwide epidemic. “NP took a hard line and closed it.”
Another comment said, “Nancy Pelosi purposely destroyed Katy Tur as a present for those of us who detest the noon MSNBC lineup because it ‘leans right.'”
Another viewer said, “Pure perfection. @katytur needs to reapply for Fox News.”
Tur previously gained notoriety when she declared in 2018 that she did not need to worry about her life or daily choices since global warming would eventually destroy the planet.
Pelosi further stated in the interview that if the Supreme Court did not decide in a way that benefited Democrats, Congress would have to take term limits for justices’ appointments into consideration.
