Watch Kristi Noem Shut Down Reporter’s ‘Gotcha’ Moment Over ICE Leakers

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem didn’t just hold her ground on Face the Nation—she flipped the script on CBS’s Margaret Brennan and left the far-left host scrambling.

Brought on to discuss the ongoing trade war with Canada and Mexico, border security, and the massive leaks that endangered ICE raids, Noem was clearly the target of a “gotcha” moment. But instead of backing down, she dismantled Brennan’s weak attempt to paint her as misinformed.

Noem had recently exposed two leakers within DHS who compromised ICE enforcement operations and put law enforcement officers at risk. She confirmed that these individuals would be referred to the Department of Justice for felony prosecution and could face up to ten years in prison. That’s when Brennan, grasping for a “gotcha” moment, pulled up an old tweet where Noem had blasted the FBI’s corruption and vowed to stop leaks.

Brennan smugly tried to suggest that Noem was wrong to blame the FBI when the leaks were coming from DHS. But Noem wasn’t having any of it.

“No,” Noem shot back. “There are leakers throughout those agencies.” Then, she put it in terms even a leftist reporter could understand. “These two were leaking our enforcement operation that we were going to plan and conduct in several cities and expose law enforcement and put their lives in danger. So, they will be prosecuted, and they could face up to ten years in federal prison because they did that.”

Game, set, match.

Noem also reminded Brennan that she has full constitutional authority to polygraph employees, a practice she is keeping in place to root out bad actors within the department. While the mainstream media may want to pretend government leaks are harmless “whistleblowing,” the reality is that these traitors are actively sabotaging national security.

At the end of the day, Noem stood her ground while Brennan floundered. And Democrats? They’re terrified because, for the first time in years, the DHS has a leader who actually prioritizes law and order over political games.
