Watch: Kamala Harris Humiliates Herself After Being Asked Her Job Description

Kamala Harris, the vice president, who has struggled with continuously low ratings of approval all across the party lines, went on The Late Show on CBS with Stephen Colbert in an effort to improve her public image. But, she faltered miserably after being unable or reluctant to describe the her position.

Throughout this uncomfortable conversation, the show host Stephen Colbert questioned her about “what is the actual responsibility on a day to day basis” of a vice president.

Harris praised President Biden to try tosidestep addressing the query. “Yeah, I have the tremendous honor of working alongside Joe Biden, who is the United States president,” she stated to resounding acclaim from the live audience. ”Right! Right!  Absolutely correct.”

“And was vice president,” she continued.

“Does he comprehend what it’s like to be vice president,” Colbert retorted?

“He does. He carries it out.” Harris retorted, “And he’s such a great partner and he knows the position. Keep in mind that we arrived in the peak of the pandemic. We need to cover a lot of ground, so let’s decide how we can do this together. This was the theme of a lot of the work.”

“But he’s an amazing leader, and I wish others were able to see what I see,” she concluded. “Considering that only one person occupies the seat at that resolute desk. And he is an exceptional leader because the choices that person must make are ones that no one else in the nation can make.”

Colbert did not let Harris off the hook despite an additional round of jubilant audience applause: “That’s a terrific response. And the inquiry was, What exactly is the vice president’s job?”

“And your answer is a component of the job, I’m guessing,” Colbert said in jest.

Harris then jumped into a story about her speech at the most recent Munich Security Summit in which she claimed that Russia had carried out crimes against humanity while evading the question. The studio audience once more applauded in agreement.

According to a survey done last year, VP Kamala Harris’s approval rating has gone down 18 net points under that of President Joe Biden. 62 percent of Americans disapprove of VP Harris, while just 28 percent approve. Meanwhile Joe Biden has a 39 percent rating along with a 55 percent disapproval rating.

The most recent hit to VP Harris’ reputation came when Senator Elizabeth Warren (Dem.-MA) refrained from supporting a Biden-Harris 2024 campaign. Following the remarks, the vice president is apparently refusing to answer Warren’s calls.
