Watch: Fox News Is Furious About McCarthy Ouster

On “The Five” this week, FNC’s Greg Gutfeld informed his co-hosts that the Republicans who voted to oust Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) from his post had shot the party in the head.

Gutfeld said, “It’s sad that no one seemed to care about making this clear. You lose if you can’t make your point or even explain it without putting folks to sleep. We know that these parties are not exact copies of each other. One is motivated to win, while the other is not. These guys shot themselves in the foot, I meant the head.”

“He broke promises,” he continued. “And I had to go find out what they were. He said that the standard numbers for 2022 would be used as appropriation numbers for the current year, but he didn’t do that. Are you mad? He vowed not to allow bills to pass that had more Democrats than Republicans in favor of them. He might not have. Are you mad? I’m not sure. It was agreed upon by all Republicans on the House Rules Committee not to take up a bill. McCarthy says he didn’t make those last two vows. Who is telling the truth now? I’m not sure. I don’t know if I care because I agree with Trump. I mean, this is being discussed rather than the border, crime, or inflation.”

In addition, Gutfeld said, “I know it’s a historic event, but it’s one of the few that doesn’t really interest me. Our viewers aren’t affected by this. Does it improve safety on our streets? No. Does it restore the realness of our borders? Does it lower the price of gas? No. It’s just noise and anger that shows lack of skill. It seems like this was a private matter that is being brought to light in public, which I find rather sad.”
