Professor Shellyne Rodriguez, 46, has been sacked by Hunter College after aggressively verbally abusing pro-life students and allegedly physically destroying their exhibit. When asked about the event, Rodriguez allegedly threatened a reporter with a machete.
A Video showed Rodriguez “screaming at pro-life students at Hunter College in Manhattan, stating to them that it is “violent” to oppose mothers murdering their unborn babies, then pushing the items on their table to the floor,” according to Breitbart News.
“This is nonsense. This is aggressive.” She allegedly said, “You’re triggering my students,” in the video.
“You’re teaching crap. This is utterly false propaganda. What will you do next, like, anti-trans? Is that what you intend to do after this?” She enquired of the pupils.
“Well, no. We’re discussing abortion,” the student said.
Rodriguez persisted in bringing up the matter and seemed to call the youngsters “violent.” She remained steadfast despite the pupils’ sincere apologies.
“You are not even allowed to have a kid. So you have no idea what it is. You have no idea what this is,” she said. “Take away this garbage. Screw this garbage.”
Rodriguez is then accused of damaging the table and throwing their supplies off.
When asked about the event at the time, the professor allegedly threatened a New York Post journalist with a machete, in accordance to the Daily Mail. At the time, Hunter College stated that the professor had merely received a harsh reprimand.
“When questioned about what had taken place at her Bronx home, Rodriguez drew a machete and pressed it to the reporter’s throat, threatening to ‘chop him up,'” according to the Mail. “She followed reporter Reuven Fenton of the New York Post as well as his photographer friend through the front door while still holding the machete.”
A school representative, Vince Dimiceli, said that Rodriguez was dismissed soon after the event was made known to the administration.
He said, “Hunter College has taken quick action and strongly condemns Shellyne Rodriguez’s abhorrent behavior. Rodriguez has been fired from her position at Hunter College with immediate effect and won’t be coming back to work there.”
