WATCH: Fake News Scrambles for Cover After Getting Busted in Massive Lie

Another day, another mainstream media smear job gone wrong. MSNBC was caught red-handed Tuesday night after falsely claiming that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard called Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump “very good friends.” Turns out, Gabbard was actually talking about Trump’s friendship with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Oops.

MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle and Jonathan Capehart wasted no time running with the fake narrative, broadcasting the lie without even bothering to check the full interview. They framed Gabbard’s words as some sort of proof that Trump and Putin are buddy-buddy—because the left is obsessed with pushing the tired “Trump-Russia” conspiracy, no matter how many times it gets debunked.

But when the Associated Press—the original source of the claim—was forced to issue a correction and retract the story, MSNBC had to awkwardly walk it back. Guest host Ali Velshi admitted on-air that Gabbard wasn’t talking about Putin at all, but rather about Trump and Modi.

“Now we said that world leader was Vladimir Putin, but the full interview shows that Gabbard was referring to Trump and Indian Prime Minister Modi. We cleared that up,” Velshi said.

Yeah, you “cleared it up” after spreading another anti-Trump lie.

The corporate media has spent years desperately trying to brand Trump and Gabbard as Russian assets, despite zero evidence to back it up. They ran with the bogus Russia collusion hoax after the 2016 election, and they’ve been smearing Gabbard ever since she dared to question the Democratic Party’s war hawk agenda.

The reality? Trump isn’t working with Putin—he’s working to end the war in Ukraine. While Biden’s handlers have funneled hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars into an endless war, Trump actually got on the phone with Putin and brokered a temporary ceasefire. That’s real leadership.

This latest “correction” from MSNBC isn’t just an embarrassment—it’s a reminder that the left-wing media’s entire playbook is built on deception. They don’t report news. They manufacture narratives. And once again, they got caught.
