During a rare moment of clarity on the left-leaning talk show, co-host Sara Haines lit up her own party’s emotional circus, warning that yelling into a microphone doesn’t exactly equal leadership.
While Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro fawned over Bernie Sanders and AOC pulling thousands to rallies like it’s 2019 all over again, Haines hit pause on the performative pity party and dropped some truth. “I can see why people like the AOCs, the Bernie Sanders…but I don’t think just screaming and kind of performative, ‘We’re gonna fight,’ is the way to go,” she said. Translation? The left’s current game plan of rage-filled resistance and TikTok speeches isn’t delivering results.
Navarro tried to spin the fact that Sanders and AOC are the only two Democrats who can draw a crowd as proof of passion. But if they’re not on the ballot and still getting bigger turnouts than Joe Biden ever did, maybe the Democrats should be asking themselves why their supposed leaders are nowhere to be found.
Sunny Hostin chimed in to admit the obvious—Americans aren’t buying the socialist snake oil anymore. Sure, people are mad. But what they want is help paying their bills, not vague rants about “taxing the rich” and “eating the billionaires.” Even she acknowledged that most voters still care about real-world issues like inflation, not D.C. theatrics.
But it was Sara Haines who put a nail in the Democrats’ delusion when she praised Democrat Rep. Elissa Slotkin from Michigan for actually focusing on solutions instead of shouts. “I love to hear you shout,” Haines said, “but I’m much more the person that says, ‘Show me what that got you.’” And the answer? Nothing but media likes and empty headlines.
The Left is cracking under its own emotional weight, and even its friendliest voices are starting to admit it. Without a plan, without policies, and without pragmatists, the Democrats are stuck in a feedback loop of fury. And meanwhile, President Trump and the GOP are busy governing and building.
