During his remarks at the annual training conference of Everytown for Gun Safety, President Joe Biden did what he does every time he takes the stage: he completely lost his dignity.
From the misquoted Thomas Jefferson passage to the patently false claim that Joe Biden was formerly a constitutional professor, Pat Gray, and the “Unleashed” team dissect the speech, uncovering every absurdity along the way.
Pat muses, “There’s so much in 2 minutes and 11 seconds,” as she plays the video.
Biden mentioned a “school shooting in Iowa that murdered a student and a teacher” at one point in his address.
Referring to Trump, Biden said, “My predecessor was questioned about it.” “You have to get over it,” he replied.
Pat argues, “That’s way out of context.”
Then Biden said, “In America, gun violence kills more children than cancer and auto accidents combined.”
According to Pat, “You really have to go above and beyond to try to make that stat work,” adding that “you have to include accidental gun deaths and suicides” to support those figures.
During one of his lowest points, Biden said he “became a professor at the University of Pennsylvania” and “taught a constitutional law class” after serving as vice president.
Pat corrects, “No, no, you didn’t.” “All of the liberal agencies have fact-checked it; they’ve all said it’s not true; it didn’t happen, and he keeps saying it nonetheless.”
The well-known passage from a Thomas Jefferson letter, “The tree of liberty must be watered from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants,” was then grossly mistranslated by Biden.
Biden, however, saw it as “the blood of liberty.” That is all.
Pat remarks, “I’ve never heard that phrase.” “He wasn’t even near it.”
