The 80-year-old President Biden’s age should unquestionably be taken into account by voters when choosing a candidate for president in 2024, according to remarks made by the twice-defeated Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton, 75, at the “Financial Times Weekend” celebration.
While Biden accidentally brought the topic to the center of his campaign with the remarks that he made at an EMILY’s List gala in Washington, D.C.’s “Anthem” auditorium, people were wondering if Clinton was considering running for office a third time – or possibly I ought to say a “reelection” campaign given that she is intent with keeping up with the nonsense claiming that she “never lost” to former President Trump in 2016.
The “We Are EMILY” fundraiser was conducted in part to recognize former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) contributions to the advancement of so-called “abortion rights.”
But as soon as Joe Biden entered the stage to welcome his longtime Democratic comrade, Pelosi, he quickly reverted to his normal incoherence, attacking her while unintentionally raising the issue of his advanced age with voters ahead of the 2024 election.
Biden: “Nancy Pelosi is going to be remembered as one of the most important speakers in American history not only because she is a woman, but also because she is so extraordinary. She really is —
A spectator says, “Woo!”
Biden: “No, no, you never needed to be concerned about whether the measure would pass with Nancy leading the effort. Every time she claimed to have the votes, she really did.”
“And she had to vote on a lot of laws that would change lives. During the Great Depression, she contributed to economic recovery.”
To be clear, the Great Depression lasted from 1929 to 1941. Pelosi was born in 1940 and is, at 83, older than Biden. Even while I’m very certain a one-year-old Pelosi had absolutely nothing to do with saving Americans during the last stages of the Great Depression, maybe I’m wrong. He might be mistaken in believing Pelosi is older than she is.
She wasn’t visible in the video, but it’s safe to assume that she cringed as she battled to control her reaction towards the unintended jab, one of many Biden has made in his decades of professional politics in Washington, D.C.

As I have already said, despite the Biden campaign and Biden himself actually spinning like tops in an attempt to make concerns about his age and mental ability to lead appear like non-starters, survey after survey has shown that people are very much thinking about it.
