VIDEO: Why Are Dem Volunteers Quickly Ditching Kamala?

A podcaster who worked as a worker at the DNC in Chicago said she knew she would not vote for Kamala Harris for vice president when she left the event.

A little more than a month after Biden said he was giving up his reelection bid, Harris accepted the Democratic nomination to replace Biden. In a video that went popular on TikTok, the co-host of the podcast “Rolling In The Deep State,” said that people at the conference were “the most elite and out-of-touch people in the whole world.”

The worker said, “When I was there, I didn’t feel connected to real America or the place where I come from, which is Kansas City, Kansas, and Missouri. I felt disconnected from the people I know who are having a hard time paying their rent or buying food right now. These are the people who want to know what both candidates will do to make a real difference in their lives. Being there and hearing the talks made me mad because I did not hear a single thing about the economy, not even close. Not in Kamala’s speech, not in the others either. What I heard instead were general words like “joy,” “love,” and “honesty.” What does that even mean?”

“I thought I was in the anti-war party,” the worker said. “I thought I was a part of the party that stood up for working people and the little guy. When and how did we become the party of elitist people and rich people? That’s where we are now.”

During an economic policy speech in North Carolina on August 16, Harris suggested that the Federal Trade Commission should be able to punish food stores for “price gouging” with “harsh fines.” Since Biden dropped his reelection bid, Harris has not agreed to a sit-down interview or press conference.

“How can we say we’re going to fight big business or give a voice back to communities that have been left behind when there were donors in suits looking down on the people below from above the delegates on the floor and all the floors and rings of suites above them? That’s what Chris Cuomo said, and he’s right,” the worker added.
