Tucker Carlson Crushes Lib Media Hack’s Gun Control Argument Instantly

If gun control were a boulder, Piers Morgan would be the most tireless Sisyphus alive, eternally pushing the same tired arguments up the hill, only to watch them crash down under the weight of reality.

Morgan, best remembered in the U.S. for getting his lunch handed to him by Ben Shapiro in 2013, recently took his losing streak to Tucker Carlson, trying—yet again—to convince Americans that British-style gun control is the answer.

And, yet again, he failed spectacularly.

Morgan’s Misguided Case for Gun Control—And Tucker’s Brutal Reality Check

During their wide-ranging discussion on the Ukraine-Russia War and U.S. foreign policy, the conversation inevitably shifted to firearms—because for Morgan, gun control is his forever war.

“You know, the thing about guns,” Morgan told Tucker, “the reality is that there’s a complete cultural difference. In my country, everybody used to have a gun… Now, very few people have guns. There are incredibly tight restrictions. And the consequence of that is that we have almost zero gun crime.”

Tucker’s quick-witted reply cut straight to the core:

“Is London safe now?”

That’s the problem—it’s not.

Gun Control Doesn’t Stop Crime—It Just Leaves the Law-Abiding Defenseless

Morgan’s argument sounds great in theory, but fails in reality. The U.K. might not have rampant gun violence, but criminals don’t need guns to wreak havoc—they have knives, acid, and even trucks.

When Tucker pointed this out, Morgan conceded that Britain does, in fact, have a knife problem—but didn’t seem to grasp the deeper issue.

“No, you have a people problem,” Tucker responded. “You can’t be trusted with guns now, because you’re out of control.”

And that’s the core of the issue—it’s not guns, it’s freedom.

A Disarmed Society is an Oppressed Society

Gun control isn’t just about crime—it’s about who holds the power. And, as Tucker pointed out, in Britain’s case, it’s not the people.

After winning World War II, Britain slowly surrendered another kind of war—the battle for individual liberty.

“After you won the war, you lost all your freedom. And now you can’t even express your political opinions, or they put you in jail.”

Morgan tried to counter:

“You know how we won? We won because I’m not conducting this interview in German.”

To which Tucker fired back:

“But you are goose-stepping! People were arrested for praying.”

That’s not an exaggeration. After the Southport Massacre, the U.K. didn’t just crack down on crime—it cracked down on speech itself. People were jailed for social media posts deemed offensive. Dissidents were silenced. Even Elon Musk was floated as a potential target for extradition—all because he allowed free speech to flourish on X.

Would British citizens have revolted with guns over these incidents? Probably not. But the point isn’t immediate revolution—it’s preventing the erosion of rights in the first place.

A Government That Doesn’t Trust You With Guns Won’t Trust You With Words

History has proven time and again that when a government disarms its citizens, other rights start disappearing, too.

It’s no coincidence that in the U.K.:
? Self-defense is practically illegal.
? The government controls who comes into the country.
? Free speech is under attack.

When a government doesn’t trust its citizens to own a firearm, it’s only a matter of time before they don’t trust them to speak freely either. See: Britain, Canada, and every other nation with so-called “hate speech” laws.

“How are you free?” Tucker asked. “You can’t defend yourself. You can’t control who comes into your country, and you can’t criticize government policies, or you get arrested.”

Morgan had no answer—because there isn’t one.

Gun control was never about public safety—it was always about public control.

And yet, here we are, a decade after his infamous debate with Shapiro, and Morgan is still pushing the same boulder up the same hill, blind to the real threat his own country is facing.
