Minnesota’s Democrat governor just earned himself a new nickname, courtesy of President Trump—and he’s actually proud of it.
Over the weekend, Trump tore into Governor Tim Walz, calling him the “seriously retarded Governor of Minnesota.” Most people would be embarrassed to be called that. Not Walz. He turned around and called it a “badge of honor.” Yeah, really. That’s how far gone the left is.
Take a look:
Instead of addressing the serious problems in his state—like the flood of unvetted refugees and crime skyrocketing in places like Minneapolis—Walz decided to play victim over a word.
“I think we all know, both as an educator for a couple of decades and as a parent, using that term is just so damaging. It’s hurtful,” Walz said with a straight face.
Hurtful? Tim, what’s actually damaging is your open-border policies and refusal to protect your own citizens.
Let’s not forget why Trump called him out in the first place. The President was reacting to a horrific attack that happened just days earlier in Washington, D.C., where a 20-year-old National Guard member from West Virginia, Sarah Parkins, was killed in a terrorist ambush. The attacker? An unvetted Afghan migrant let in under Biden’s failed policies. And let’s not kid ourselves—Walz and his soft-on-crime, open-border mindset are part of the same broken system.
So when Trump lit him up for letting “hundreds of thousands of refugees from Somalia” flood into Minnesota and turn parts of the state into a no-go zone, he wasn’t wrong. He was telling the truth that no one else in the media wants to say out loud.
But what does Walz do in response? He whines that Trump’s words are “hurtful” and then tries to change the subject by demanding Trump “release the MRI results.” That’s right—he’s trying to push the tired old narrative that Trump isn’t mentally fit, as if anyone’s buying that anymore. This is coming from the same party that thinks Joe Biden is sharp as a tack and Kamala Harris is the next Einstein.
Let’s be real. If anyone needs a mental check, it’s the guy who publicly admitted he “became friends with school shooters” while working as a teacher. That’s not normal. That’s not leadership. That’s dangerous.
Minnesotans are watching their state change before their eyes—more crime, more violence, and more chaos, thanks to weak leaders like Walz. And when the President calls it out, they clutch their pearls and cry about “hurt feelings.”
This is the left’s playbook: ignore the facts, change the subject, make everything about identity politics, and hope you don’t notice the mess they’ve made.
But Americans aren’t falling for it anymore. Trump said what millions of people are thinking. He’s not worried about being politically correct. He’s worried about protecting Americans—something people like Walz clearly forgot how to do a long time ago.
The truth hurts. And if Tim Walz thinks being called out by Trump is a “badge of honor,” then he should wear it proudly—because it sure doesn’t mean what he thinks it does.
Bottom line: Trump is out here fighting for our country, calling out the failures, and naming names. Meanwhile, Governor Walz is busy crying about words while his state burns. If that’s not “retarded” leadership, I don’t know what is.
Stay tuned, folks. This story’s not going away anytime soon.
