But it didn’t stop at words. Trump went even further, calling for both Johnson and Pritzker to be arrested for failing to protect ICE officers during recent violent anti-ICE protests in Broadview, Illinois. That’s right—arrested.
“Chicago Mayor should be in jail for failing to protect ICE Officers! Governor Pritzker also!” Trump posted on Truth Social.
The left is losing it, and Pritzker fired back, calling Trump a “man suffering dementia” and accusing him of using the military for political revenge. That kind of meltdown only proves Trump hit a nerve.
But here’s the part the media doesn’t want to talk about—Trump’s not the only one saying it. The White House video includes a clip from Pastor Corey Brooks, a local Chicago leader, who appeared on Fox News and begged for help. “We need to invite President Trump in,” Brooks said. “We’ve had 254 deaths in 233 days, and for anyone in our community to say people are safe, that is an outright lie.”
