Trump Responds To Liberal Media Lies Against MAGA Allies

Asserting that Democrats and the “Fake News Media” are trying to “destroy a man that has real greatness in his future, just like he has had athletic greatness in the past,” Pres. Donald Trump issued a statement on Tuesday defending Herschel Walker, the GOP candidate for Georgia Senate.

Herschel Walker, a well-known NFL player, reportedly rejected allegations this week that he paid a former girlfriend $700 to undergo an abortion, according to Fox News. The Daily Beast published the alleged “bombshell” story.

Trump said in his tweet that “the Fake News Media and clearly the Dems are maligning and slandering Herschel Walker. It’s really interesting because I have heard some really awful things regarding Raphael Warnock, his opponent, that we don’t even talk about. Herschel has correctly disputed the allegations that are against him, and I am confident that he is right.”

Walker strongly criticized The Daily Beast for the story in a statement he shared on Twitter on Monday, saying: “This is a flat-out lie, and I refute this in the strongest terms. Another disgusting smear campaign from a democrat activist who has relentlessly targeted my family and attempted to bring me down since this race began.”

Additionally, Herschel said he intended to “sue the Daily Beast over this defamatory fabrication. It’ll be submitted early tomorrow.”

“It’s very vital that Herschel Walker wins this Election,” Trump said, “for our Country and the Great State of Georgia.”

Christian Walker, Walker’s son, also made the headlines on Monday night for abruptly publishing a string of tweets criticizing his father after the questionable abortion report surfaced. Strangely, the tweets he made on Twitter were the exact opposite of the kind things he had previously written for his father in June 2021: “I appreciate everything you do and your devotion to our wonderful nation. I’m eager to watch what you accomplish.”

When his son attacked, Herschel Walker handled it with grace. He wrote, “I LOVE my son no matter what.”

Some political observers have called attention to the strange timing in light of Christian Walker’s abrupt turn of events and The Daily Beast revelation. Less than 40 days remained until the midterm elections, and Trump urged Georgians to vote for Walker and disregard the media’s attacks.

“With everything that Herschel has achieved, it will be very difficult to resist when you come from Georgia and see the name Herschel Walker when voting,” he said in conclusion. “Don’t!”
