Previous President Donald Trump hinted at a presidential campaign in 2024 on Monday, pledging a “very major announcement” on Nov. 15.
“I’m going to make a very major announcement on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida,” Trump declared Monday night during a political rally in Ohio.
The former president stated that he doesn’t want to “divert attention away” from the upcoming midterm elections on Tuesday, Nov. 8, emphasizing that it is an important “country-saving election.”
Trump has thrown the media into a spin as reports spread that he would announce his intention to run for president at his event on Monday night, an event that would have undoubtedly upset the Republican narrative heading into the midterm elections.
During a gathering in Iowa on Friday, Trump also hinted at a possible presidential run.
“Now, in the interest of making our nation safe, successful, and glorious, I will most likely do it again,” Trump told the Sioux City crowd. “Okay? Extremely likely. Very, very, very likely.”
