President Trump just lit up more than the National Christmas Tree this year — he lit a fire under the woke media and the anti-Christian left.
Thursday night, at the White House, President Trump and First Lady Melania continued a tradition that’s been around for over a century: the lighting of the National Christmas Tree. But this year, it wasn’t just about twinkling lights and holiday songs — it was about putting Christ front and center, where He belongs.
In a bold and unapologetic speech, Trump reminded Americans what Christmas is actually about. Not snowmen. Not Santa. Not some vague “holiday spirit.” No — it’s about Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
“During this holy season, Christians everywhere rejoice at the miracle in Bethlehem more than 2,000 years ago,” Trump declared to a cheering crowd. “When the Son of God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, came down from Heaven to be with us.”
The crowd erupted in praise, and Trump smiled and responded with a simple, “You’re right.”
He continued, “Full of grace and truth, He brought the gift of God’s love into the world and the promise of salvation for every person and every nation.”
This is the kind of leadership that America needs — not politicians afraid to offend the left, but a President who proudly proclaims the truth. And it didn’t stop there. Trump went on to quote directly from the Gospel of John:
“In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind… With the birth of Jesus, human history turned from night to day.”
Let that sink in. At a time when most politicians are terrified to even say the word “Christmas,” President Trump is standing on the South Lawn, quoting Scripture, honoring Jesus, and reminding this country of its Christian roots.
He also connected the message of Christ’s love and peace to real-world events, noting the historic peace deal just signed between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo — a major diplomatic win that happened under his leadership.
Trump’s message was crystal clear: America is a nation under God. And more than ever, we need to return to those roots.
Check out the viral video that’s making the rounds online, where one user praises Trump for standing up for Christianity when so many in power are too scared to.
Merry Christmas. Thanks so much Donald John Trump. The mainstream, liberal, woke media may demonise you as much as they want but we cannot be deceived.
We know that the woke left and their left wing woke media propagandists hate Christianity and they will do anything to… pic.twitter.com/J9HOgnsK5Y

This is the kind of spirit that built America — faith, courage, and truth. As former President John Adams once said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
And let’s be honest — we all know what kind of religion Adams meant. Christianity. This nation was founded by Christians, guided by Christian values, and kept strong by the unwavering belief in God.
But today, the woke mob wants to erase that history. They want to turn Christmas into a politically correct “winter celebration.” They want to cancel nativity scenes, ban prayers, and shame anyone who mentions Jesus in public.
Not on Trump’s watch.
He’s not just lighting a tree — he’s lighting a path back to America’s foundation: faith in God, pride in our country, and the courage to speak the truth, no matter who it offends on the left.
This wasn’t just a Christmas tree lighting. It was a declaration. A reminder. That no matter how hard the left tries to rewrite history, silence faith, or cancel tradition — the truth still shines bright.
And this Christmas, that truth is simple: Jesus is the reason for the season. And Trump isn’t afraid to say it.
