Reince Priebus took the gloves off and delivered a brutal reality check to the floundering Democrat Party during his appearance on ABC’s This Week. The former RNC Chairman and Trump’s first White House Chief of Staff didn’t hold back, exposing the left’s complete lack of leadership, vision, or enthusiasm—except when it comes to their all-consuming hatred of Donald Trump.
Reince Priebus calmly destroys Democrats on ABC after a horrific two weeks.
"The only thing they've got is trump derangement syndrome. It's the only thing that brings them together, and the only thing they got out of this week, was who's going to primary Chuck Schumer? What are… pic.twitter.com/JDcw3j4jgd

Martha Raddatz, likely hoping to spin the conversation in the Democrats’ favor, tried framing the current political situation as a “lose-lose” for Republicans, but Priebus immediately turned the tables.
“The Democrats have had two horrific weeks,” Priebus said. “They’ve got no leader, they’ve got no movement. The only thing they’ve got is Trump Derangement Syndrome. It’s the only thing that brings them together, and the only thing they got out of this week was ‘Who’s going to primary Chuck Schumer?’ What are we even about?”
And that’s the heart of the issue: Democrats have no message, no unifying vision, and no plan—other than smearing Trump and his supporters.
Priebus pointed out that the only figures who can even get a crowd of more than 20 people at an event are radical leftists like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders. And yet, the base is deeply fractured. There’s no clear leader. There’s no enthusiasm. They’re rudderless, and Trump is living in their heads rent-free.
Meanwhile, the numbers speak for themselves. A recent CNN poll (yes, even CNN can’t cover this up) found that only 29% of Americans hold a favorable view of the Democrat Party—an all-time low in CNN’s polling history since 1992. That’s a 20-point collapse since Biden took office. In other words, Americans have had enough.
Even among Democrats, there’s zero consensus on leadership. When asked who best represents their party’s values, responses were all over the place:
- 10% named radical leftist AOC
- 9% said Kamala Harris (despite her complete incompetence)
- 8% picked self-proclaimed socialist Bernie Sanders
- 6% chose House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries
This is not a party that’s firing on all cylinders. This is a party in freefall—and all they can do is obsess over Trump while the country moves on without them.
Priebus nailed it: Trump owns them. The left is flailing, desperate, and unable to rally around anything other than their shared hatred for the man who continues to dominate American politics.
While Trump is bringing energy and momentum to the Republican Party, Democrats are drowning in internal division, failing policies, and historic unpopularity. The left is imploding before our eyes, and no amount of media spin can save them.
Let’s be real: The Democrats are in deep, deep trouble.
