Dennis Quaid is a well-known actor who has been in big hits such as “The Parent Trap,” but not many people know about his life.
Allie Beth Stuckey recently talked to Quaid to find out.
Even though he says that Hollywood centers around “seeking fame and fortune,” he says that “the craft of acting” was more important to him.
He says that acting is “something I love doing” and it is also “a gift from God.”
“I like to do stories that are good for the human spirit,” he says. “Recently, I have even started doing what people call faith movies, but I believe they are just really good stories that are needed in life.”
Quaid has been working on additional faith-based projects lately, but as a Millennial woman, Stuckey remains interested in his “Parent Trap” past.
Stuckey starts by saying, “Because I’m a Millennial woman, the majority of my audience is also made up of Millennial women, and a majority of us still love ‘The Parent Trap’ because you were in it. Do you hear that a lot?”
“Yeah, since you are my ‘Parent Trap’ girls,” Quaid says with a laugh. “You probably watched the movie around 40 times by the time I stopped being your babysitter since your parents had set it on the VCR and left to do whatever they wanted in their other room.”
Quaid says that the movie “reinvented” his business.
“No matter what, things change as you get older. You can’t always play the same roles. “You have to start over,” he says.
