Security Camera Captures Fatal Shooting Of Ex-Boyfriend Attempting To Break Down Door

Shocking footage from a Ring doorbell, showed the moment a father, who was protecting his daughter, shot and killed her ex-boyfriend after he attempted to smash down the family’s front door.

The ex-boyfriend, James Rayl, 22, was seen approaching the front porch of the property, where he was met with the voice of his ex-girlfriend’s mother – who was speaking through the intercom, informing him that her daughter did not want to see him.

Instead of leaving, Rayl began to push at the door and then tried to barge it open, when the Ohio dad inside called out “Get off my porch,” Rayl continued to charge at the door – right before three shots were fired.

The video captured the moment Rayl was fatally shot through the front door – who managed to stagger off onto the driveway before passing away.

The incident took place in Sydney, Ohio and it was only as recently as last year that a law was repealed in Ohio, that stated a person had legal duty to retreat if faced with a threat – the law has since been updated, which now takes away that legal responsibility.

A grand jury voted against indicting the father for Rayl’s death and kept to the “castle doctrine” which enables a person to use deadly force against anyone who threatens them in their homes or vehicles.

As people become more unpredictable and more unhinged, laws enabling people to protect themselves by any means necessary, is definitely necessary.
