SATAN IS CONQUERING THE PLANET: “If I Were the DEVIL” (Paul Harvey’s 1965 PROPHETIC Essay)

Legendary ABC Radio news commentator Paul Harvey delivered this speech on April 3, 1965 to spell out the exact plan the devil might use to usher in the downfall of America – and it bears a striking resemblance to the reality which we live in today.

In his poem, Harvey reveals that as the devil, he would do whatever it takes to take over the United States – starting with the subversion of churches in an attempt to attack the nation’s morality, convincing the masses that the bible is a myth and that their real “god” is whoever sits in the White House.

Harvey then said that he would next strike by using entertainment to desensitize the general public to make everything else seem dull or uninteresting.

He continues, saying he would deploy narcotics and alcohol to distract and numb “ladies and gentlemen of distinction.”

Harvey carries on, saying, “If I were the devil, I’d soon have families at war with themselves, churches at war with themselves, and nations at war with themselves, until each in its turn was consumed” – “… and have mesmerizing media fan the flames.”

He adds that he would destroy schools, have prisons overflowing, substitute psychology for religion, and redistribute wealth to crush ambition. He would go after hard work, patriotism, marriage and saddle the public with diseases for which there is no cure.

Harvey concludes in his 1965 speech, saying that, ”in other words, if he were the devil, he would just keep on doing what he is doing today.”
