While expressing his belief in Trump as the “greatest debater in modern American history,” independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. cast doubt on CNN hosts Jake Tapper and Dana Bash’s ability to ask either candidate tough questions due to their support for policies implemented during the COVID era. According to Kennedy, during COVID lockdowns, Tapper and Bash were reported as “cheerleaders.”
“During their presidency, the CNN announcers enthusiastically supported the lockdown of the American public and other major actions.”
He went on to say that the epidemic era spent trillions.
This has resulted in the destruction of the middle class, the closure of 3.3 million businesses without due process, the redistribution of $4.3 trillion to a new oligarchy of billionaires, and the insistence by our religions that we wear masks. That had Jake Tapper’s enthusiastic support. Are you implying that he won’t ask them any hard questions?
Morgan chimed in to say that he thinks Tapper and Bash will grill Trump and Biden with probing questions.
What do you think?” Yes, I do. Jake is an excellent journalist, in my opinion. For CNN, I’ve collaborated with him, and I believe Dana Bash has as well. In my opinion, they certainly can. I have faith in their abilities, and I believe they will excel.
Because no serious journalist would ever dream of comparing Trump to Hitler, devote much of their show to discussing the past president, or treat Biden with less seriousness in their reporting, the term “journalist” remains unofficially used.
In response to Morgan’s question on his predictions for the debate winner, Kennedy said, “I don’t like to make predictions, but I would say that Trump would win.”
He might be considered the best American debater of the modern era since Lincoln-Douglas. What I mean is that in 2016, I saw Trump completely destroy sixteen Republican candidates, one by one. He is truly captivating to watch in action. He can conjure up imaginary facts, make the audience accept them wholeheartedly, and then sell them. Nothing phases this talented performer. In that argument, I just don’t see President Biden coming out on top.
Trump’s impulsive and unexpected approach to the debate platform was evident in the 2016 GOP primary, the 2016 debate against Hillary Clinton, and the 2020 debate against Biden.

Then Morgan asked Kennedy whether he thought the Democratic National Committee would step in to replace Biden if the debate turned into a “train catastrophe.” Kennedy responded:
“I believe it’s doable. That would be best done at the convention. The superdelegates are essentially waiting in line. Plus, they’d be in charge of selecting the next candidate. In my opinion, several of them would gladly take that opportunity.
It will be interesting to see how fair and impartial the questions asked by the moderators are, and whether they are softball or serious. A policy-focused, one-on-one debate is needed to give people on the fence about who to lead the nation for the next four years a good idea.
