One Biden Team Member Could Be Going To Jail, Here’s Why

According to a GOP lawmaker on Sunday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken misled Congress regarding his interactions with President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden.

A new revelation found emails exchanged between Blinken and Biden in 2015, prompting Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) to announce intentions to disclose the transcript of a Dec. 2020 interview in which Blinken purportedly stated such interactions did not occur.

During his appearance on Fox News, Johnson made reference to what would be a violation that could result in as much as five years in prison. “Now, because of additional information that’s turned up, we are aware that he lied bold-faced before Congress claiming never e-mailing Hunter Biden,” Johnson stated.

“My assumption is that he told a bunch of additional lies,” he said during an interview with “Sunday Morning Futures” presenter Maria Bartiromo. “You can’t put your trust in Joe Biden. Hunter Biden cannot be trusted. You can’t put your faith in the Bidens. You can’t put your faith in so many of the individuals they’ve surrounded themselves with.”

Fox News reported last week on the emails, which revealed contact between Blinken and the younger Biden during 2015, discussing organizing a meeting when Blinken was working as deputy secretary of state.

Additionally, emails from 2010 and 2011 among Blinken’s wife, Evan Ryan, who has worked for the State Department and the White House, and Hunter Biden and Eric Schwerin, Hunter Biden’s long-term business partner, were revealed in the report.

When contacted for comment regarding Johnson’s interview, the State Department referred The Daily Wire to a statement made recently by an agency representative to the media, stating that the State Department had no additional comment.

A reporter questioned Deputy Press Secretary Vedant Patel in the referenced exchange if Blinken denied allegations that he had a part in encouraging an October 2020 statement enacted by 51 intelligence veterans which suggests that the laptop case belonging to Hunter Biden was part of a Russian disinformation operation. The article also inquired whether Blinken intended to respond to a GOP letter that gave him a May 4 deadline.

Patel responded, “I don’t have a comment for you on that because that is not a State Department matter.” When asked who journalists ought to reach out to if it wasn’t the State Department, Patel simply said, “It isn’t a State Department problem, and I do not have anything to say on this from the State Dept.”

The White House, where Ryan currently serves as a cabinet official, has retaliated against GOP investigations. “House GOP members are weaponizing their authority in order to go after their political rivals and re-litigate the election in 2020 with false claims,” White House spokesperson Ian Sams tells Fox News.
