The Biden White House shared a “Pride” film on social media this week, referring to “LGBTI+…children” as “not somebody else’s kids,” but rather “all our kids,” continuing a trend in which Biden implies that raising children is something that everyone shares.
Both Vice President Kamala Harris and Biden have been frequently referring to American children as “our kids” throughout their first terms in office. This week, the Biden White House tweeted a pride-themed video praising “LGBTI+…children” and how “they’re all our kids.”
“These children are ours. These people live close by. Not someone else’s kids; they are all our kids,” Biden is heard saying as a backdrop video of the White House ablaze in rainbow colors is played. “And the kite strings that lift our country’s aspirations are our children. How we treat everyone in our country counts a lot. Children who identify as LGBTQI+ in America, in particular, are loved, heard, and supported by this administration.”
In an earlier address in the White House Rose Garden in April, Biden allegedly said, “There is absolutely no such thing as someone else’s children.”
“Another person’s child does not exist. There are no other people’s kids. The children of our country are all of our children,” Biden stated.
In April 2022, during a ceremony honoring the National State Teachers of the Year for 2022, Biden made a comparable assertion.
Then, Biden declared, “They’re all our kids. And the fact that you acknowledge that is why you were named Teachers of the Year. When they’re in school, they resemble your own; they are not someone else’s kids.”

When discussing Republican-led legislation intended to shield children and women from gender ideology this week, the president referred to them as “our kids” once more at a White House press conference with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. Additionally, he asserted that those who support safeguarding youngsters from sex mutilating procedures are “hysterical” and “prejudiced.”
“These children are ours. These people are neighbors. It’s vicious and insensitive,” Biden remarked. “How we treat everybody in our country matters a great deal.”
