MAGA Army Grows – Red-States Form Fighting Force For America

Gov. Brian Kemp (R-Ga.) declared on Tuesday afternoon that he will help secure the southern border with Mexico by deploying National Guard troops to Texas. It is anticipated that the soldiers will be sent somewhere in the spring. Personnel with mechanical, engineering, and all-around talents will be among those soldiers.

As stated by Kemp in the Post-Millennial:

“The border crisis is a national issue that requires a national response, but we will have to intervene if the Biden administration fails to deliver on its promises to the American people. Consequently, this spring we will deploy reinforcements to Texas to help with the building of a forward command post on the border with Mexico, in addition to the Georgia guardsmen now stationed at the border.”

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Kemp made his announcement on the same day that the General Assembly of the state approved a resolution denouncing the Biden administration’s border policies, endorsing the construction of a wall, and supporting the distribution of “resources and assistance” in an effort to stop the flood of undocumented immigrants.

Kemp was one of thirteen Republican governors who visited Eagle Pass earlier this month, according to the Associated Press. Kemp is sending guards to the border with Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.). In May, DeSantis dispatched more than a thousand security personnel to Texas.

Senate Republicans, including Georgia’s majority leader in the Senate, Steve Gooch (R-51st District), expressed their realization that the resolution would not materially alter the current state of affairs. “We are going to take a position on this subject today,” Gooch said. Tennessee and Oklahoma have proposed resolutions that are comparable to one another.

Democrats in the state assembly stated that they believed the action would have any effect, but they still supported some further border security measures. Politics for the sake of politics, said Senate Democratic Whip Harold Jones II (D-22nd District).

Democrats criticized the resolution and upheld the Biden administration’s practice of placing the blame on Congress during the legislation’s discussion. This includes berating Republican senators and President Trump for turning down a Senate-drafted proposal. Senator Elena Parent (D-42nd District), an Atlanta Democrat, said, “There are many options to protect the border, but congressional Republicans have put them in the trash bin.” However, nothing on this list comes close to the latest disaster we have seen.

Not only in red states or towns, but all throughout the country, opposition to unrestricted immigration is growing. Cities like Chicago, Denver, and New York are feeling the squeeze of rising service and housing costs as the sanctuary city policy hits its peak. On Monday, the National Review revealed that instead of directing their fury towards Governor Greg Abbott (R-Texas), people in the Chicago region are becoming more and more enraged with progressive municipal leaders like Mayor Brandon Johnson.
