If you needed any more proof that the Left has completely abandoned consistency and common sense, look no further than the latest circus coming out of Washington, D.C. At the so-called “Fighting for Our Future” summit—a progressive pep rally disguised as a policy event—Democrat firebrands like David Hogg and Malcolm Kenyatta suddenly decided they care about government transparency. Their new target? President Donald Trump’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Yes, you read that right. The same Democrats who spent years running cover for Epstein’s powerful friends, who scoffed when conservatives demanded answers from the Obama and Biden administrations, are now pretending to be crusaders for justice. It would be laughable if it weren’t so blatantly hypocritical.
David Hogg, the former DNC vice chair turned full-time attention-seeker, had the audacity to tell Fox News that Trump “won’t [release the files] because he’s on the god d–n list.” Not only is there zero evidence for that reckless claim, but it’s also a stunning example of how far the Left has fallen into conspiracy-driven theatrics. When asked for a response, White House Deputy Press Secretary Harrison Fields said exactly what millions of Americans are thinking: “No one, including his own party, cares what that pipsqueak has to say.”
Let’s set the record straight. President Trump campaigned in 2024 promising to release the Epstein files. He called out the rot at the highest levels of power—media, government, corporate America—and pledged to expose anyone who used Epstein’s sick empire to feed their depravity. That’s called leadership. And unlike the Biden DOJ, which played dodgeball with the truth, Trump’s administration has actually acted.
Earlier this month, the Department of Justice and FBI released a memo stating that Epstein died by suicide and that there is no “client list” as some conspiracy theorists claim. What does exist are thousands of files containing illegal child sexual abuse material—evidence that is under court-ordered seal for obvious legal and ethical reasons. You can’t just unseal that without violating the law and retraumatizing victims. But don’t expect nuance from the Left—they’re too busy filming TikToks and throwing tantrums.
Now enter Rep. Ro Khanna, a Democrat from California who is trying to tie Epstein file releases to crypto legislation. That’s right—he’s playing procedural games with one of the darkest scandals in modern American history, using it as leverage to push unrelated bills. That’s not transparency—that’s politics at its worst.
Khanna teamed up with Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky to introduce the Epstein Files Transparency Act, demanding the full release of all materials. On its face, that sounds noble. But when you dig deeper, it becomes clear that the bill is more about political optics than actual justice. Even Khanna admits that the names of victims must be redacted and that no “salacious” content should be released—so what exactly are they demanding? A sanitized document dump? Or a political weapon?
Speaker Mike Johnson, who rightly said all credible evidence should come out, has been cautious with his approach. He understands something the media and the Left refuse to acknowledge: this is not a tabloid story. This is a deeply serious criminal case involving the exploitation of minors. It should not be used as a political football. And yet, Democrats are doing just that—because they think it’s a way to embarrass Trump.
But the American people aren’t stupid. They remember who actually went to Epstein’s island. Bill Clinton. Kevin Spacey. Prince Andrew. The same elites the Left fawned over for decades. Trump? He kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago years before the media even admitted there was a problem. That’s on the record.
The real reason the Left is suddenly obsessed with the Epstein files is simple: they’re losing the narrative. Trump is back in the White House, dismantling the administrative state, securing the border, and restoring law and order. Democrats need a distraction—and Epstein is their latest one.
So let’s be clear. If there are names to release, documents to declassify, and justice to deliver—President Trump will do it, lawfully and responsibly. But he won’t play the Left’s game of weaponized leaks and media stunts.
You want transparency? Great. But spare us the lectures from the same crowd that protected Epstein’s friends for years. We’re not buying it. And neither is America.
