A Rittenhouse spokesman slammed an accusation by NBA player LeBron James after he spoke about Kyle’s tears in a controversial Twitter post.
“What tears????? I didn’t see one. Man knock it off! That boy ate some lemon heads before walking into court,” James tweeted on Nov. 10.
“To LeBron, he should be paying more attention to the Lakers, but if he would like to have a sit down at some point and time, I’m sure him and Kyle could talk about how we can change and fix this system that allows prosecutors to do what they’re doing to Kyle right now. It’s abhorrent,” spokesman Dave Hancock said during a Fox New interview addressing the issue.
Hancock is right. This is not about some basketball player’s knee jerk reaction on social media. This is about a young man who was about to be shot defending himself.
The video evidence is very clear. Rittenhouse was not out to start a fight, but he did put down a threat. His emotions in court also show this was not something he enjoyed, but did only in a situation he thought was a last resort.
