Leaked Video: Top Democrat Asks For Trump’s Death

Following the failed attempt on the life of former president Donald Trump, a video containing Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson’s 2015 statement that the donor class needed to “put a bullet in Donald Trump” has come to light.

Before Trump won the nomination, Wilson told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes that “Trump is still a very powerful force right now” due to the appeal of his “nativist” message to the base, and that the GOP donor class “can’t just sit back on the sidelines and say, ‘oh well, don’t worry, this will all work itself out.'”

Wilson declared, “They’re still going to have to go out and shoot Donald Trump.” “And that is a reality.”

Although the video of Wilson going viral on the internet claimed to be from 2023, the incident really happened in 2015, as Breitbart News revealed at the time.

Prior to the incident, prominent Biden donor Reid Hoffman expressed his intention for Trump to be a “martyr,”  just another example of the harsh language that Breitbart News brought to light on Saturday.

Nonetheless, the Lincoln Project denounced the attempt on its life via its official Twitter account.

Democrats who strongly denounced the violence and wished former President Donald Trump well included Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), and former Speaker of the House Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). Both California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) denounced the violence.

Before the attack, supporters of President Joe Biden—who also denounced the assassination—emphasized that the election of Trump would spell the end of democracy.
