Kamala Harris Red-Faced – Puerto Rican Protest Song Is About HER

Vice President Kamala Harris embarrassed herself by clapping along to a protest song that was critical of her before an assistant translated the lyrics during a Friday visit to Puerto Rico.

Following his speech in San Juan, the capital of the territory, Harris visited the Santurce area to have a look around the Goyoco community center and speak with local officials, according to Fox News.

Along with a band performing, a number of demonstrators gathered outside the community center to confront the vice president. The protestors carried posters that said, among other things, “Kamala Harris war criminal” and “US genocidal.”

As a staff member standing next to Harris purportedly translated the Spanish lyrics, Harris abruptly stopped laughing and clapping along, as shown in the funny video.

What brought you here, Kamala? That is what we would want to know. To the sound of drums, one activist sang, “We want to hear what you think of the colony.”

A journalist from Puerto Rico named Istra Pacheco claims that the song also contained the line, “Long live Free Palestine and Haiti also.”

Harris nodded and folded her hands in front of her, appearing to understand the meaning of the song.

This was the vice president’s first visit to the island in the Caribbean since taking office.

Prior to traveling to Santurce, Harris stopped by a house outside of San Juan that had been restored thanks to a federal program after Hurricane Maria damage, according to Fox News.

Alongside Puerto Rico Governor Pedro Pierluisi, Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm, and Deputy Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Adrianne Todman, Harris praised the support the Biden administration has provided to the island.

“Then, all of us need to provide the talent and the community here with the necessary resources and capabilities. So, I have been quite deliberate in what I am doing for the leaders, people, and families of Puerto Rico, along with President Joe Biden,” the speaker stated. “Our government has made approximately $140 billion in investments in Puerto Rico thus far.”
