Yet, predictably, the mainstream media elites are either yawning or looking the other way. But make no mistake: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s revelation that Iran tried—twice—to kill President Donald Trump should ring alarm bells for every freedom-loving American.
In a revealing interview with Fox News host Bret Baier, Netanyahu laid bare the truth: “These people who chant death to America tried to assassinate President Trump twice,” he warned. “Do you want these people to have nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them to your cities? Of course not. So we’re defending ourselves, but we’re also defending the world.”
Netanyahu isn’t speaking in hypotheticals here—he has cold, hard intelligence to back his claims. When pressed by Baier if the assassination attempts were directly orchestrated by Iran, Netanyahu replied with chilling clarity: “Through proxies, yes. Through their intel, yes. They want to kill him. For them, Trump is enemy number one.”

As conservatives, we’ve long known that President Trump represents a profound threat to tyrannical regimes worldwide, precisely because he stands unapologetically for American strength, sovereignty, and security. Trump’s relentless pursuit of America-first policies—securing our borders, reviving American manufacturing, reforming trade to protect American workers, and ending endless foreign wars—has made him a hated figure among the globe’s bad actors. Iran’s attempts to eliminate him only underscore the reality of Trump’s effectiveness, a stark contrast to the weakness and appeasement we witnessed under previous administrations.
One of the plots Netanyahu likely referred to involved a sinister scheme exposed by the Department of Justice last November. Iranian operative Farhad Shakeri was charged with orchestrating an assassination plan against then-President-elect Trump. According to the Justice Department, Shakeri was “tasked by the regime to direct a network of criminal associates to further Iran’s assassination plots against its targets.” Former FBI Director Christopher Wray stated bluntly at the time, “The charges announced today expose Iran’s continued brazen attempts to target U.S. citizens, including President-elect Donald Trump, other government leaders and dissidents who criticize the regime in Tehran.”
Iran’s aggression doesn’t stop there. Netanyahu reminded Americans that this is the same regime responsible for murdering 241 American Marines in Beirut, wounding thousands more of our brave men and women in Afghanistan and Iraq, and even plotting to bomb a restaurant in our nation’s capital. The mullahs in Tehran have repeatedly demonstrated their utter contempt for American lives and American interests. Yet, astonishingly, many on the left still advocate for renewed diplomacy and appeasement, naively believing Iran can be trusted with nuclear capabilities.
The recent Israeli missile strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities weren’t merely defensive—they were necessary measures aimed at crippling Iran’s drive toward nuclear armament and, ultimately, destabilizing and removing a regime that openly calls for genocide against America and Israel. These decisive actions by Israel—fully supported by President Trump’s administration—send a clear message: America and our allies will no longer tolerate Iran’s deadly ambitions.
In the face of such stark realities, conservatives must remain vigilant and vocal. We must continue supporting President Trump’s unwavering stance against Iranian aggression and terrorism. Netanyahu’s revelation is more than just another headline—it’s a wake-up call, a stark reminder of the stakes involved in our fight against radical regimes that openly threaten American leaders and American sovereignty.
President Trump has repeatedly demonstrated the courage needed to confront these threats head-on. Now more than ever, we must stand united behind a leader who refuses to bow to America’s enemies, who understands that strength—not appeasement—is the only path forward to ensure our nation’s safety and prosperity.
