GOP Speaker: Biden Told Me The REAL Reason For Open Borders

This week, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R) said that President Joe Biden held Mexico accountable for his lack of action over the border problem.

Speaking with Fox News anchor Sean Hannity, Johnson said that he personally advised President Biden on what executive action he may take to ease the border situation during their discussion at the White House.

However, Johnson said that Biden rejected the idea that, due to opposition from Mexican authorities, he might reintroduce Trump-era programs like “Remain in Mexico” by executive action.

“The president may currently rectify it using his executive authority. In a one-on-one and group setting, I informed him yesterday at the White House that your agents had informed us that a simple executive order reinstating “Remain in Mexico” would curb the flow by seventy percent. almost immediately, as word spread throughout the globe, “Don’t throw away your life money on a cartel.” You won’t be able to cross that line with them. Remain at your current location. Remain in Mexico or in a third nation that is safe,” Johnson said.

Johnson recalled his protest when Biden purportedly denied being able to take such action.

“I told them that’s absolutely not true at all. “If President Trump can do it, why can’t you?” “Oh, Mexico doesn’t want that,” he added. Johnson disclosed. “Well, you should behave like the president of the U.S., after all, you are.”

Hannity responded to Johnson’s statement by highlighting the fact that Biden revoked Trump administration immigration rules using executive action at the start of his administration.

Naturally, the inference is that Biden can act to implement policy if he can utilize his executive authority to revoke it.

In addition to using executive action to impede the migration issue, current legislation gives the president a special ability to take action during emergencies.

For instance, the Immigration Act’s Section 1182(f) declares:

“The U.S. President may, by proclamation, stop the entrance of any and all immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose a block on the entry of aliens, whenever he finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the U.S. would be harmful for the interests of this nation.”
For maximum political impact, Biden is apparently still going to deploy executive authority.

Any action might occur during Biden’s visit to Brownsville, Texas, on Thursday. Despite being distant from the focus of the border conflict, the city is officially on the border.
