FBI Visits Conservatives – Are You Next?

After Facebook sent them photos of her postings, a lady in Stillwater, Oklahoma, said FBI agents visited her house to interview her about her online activities.

The agents questioned Rolla Abdeljawad, the woman, regarding the posters. Reason said on Friday that Hassan Shibly, her attorney, released a video of the exchange after it happened.

“FBI visits a Muslim woman in the United States and questions her about her support for Palestine on social media because @meta’s Facebook reported her postings!” The caption for the video said:

“So we no longer live in a free nation, and we cannot say what we want?” the woman asked an agent after learning that Facebook had provided them with screenshots from her profile.

No, we really do. We are not here to arrest you or do anything else because of this. This is what we do all day, every day. Another agent at the scene remarked, “It is just an attempt to keep everybody safe and make sure nobody has any ill will.”

In a social media post on Thursday, Abdeljawad claimed to have checked the group’s license plate and confirmed with local law enforcement that they were, in fact, the FBI. She also mentioned that her attorney will get in touch with the OKC field office.

“The attorney did let me know that these kinds of things happen frequently these days, but he does not think Facebook provided them the screenshots of my postings. Instead, it appears to be a fishing expedition,” the author said.

Reason claims that the woman has posted comments about the Gaza War on her Facebook page. In a message on Wednesday, Abdeljawad remarked, “Israeli terrorists are scum.” They fail to see that Ramadan is a strength for Muslims, and instead believe it to be a weakness. #ReleasePalestine May Allah strike down each and every vile Zionist, along with their funders and sympathizers. According to the Reason report:

“In the event of a court order, subpoena, search warrant, or emergency involving “imminent danger to a child or risk of death or significant physical injury to any person.” Meta’s stated policy is to provide Facebook data to American law authorities. “According to the Meta website, the firm provided data to U.S. law enforcement in 87.84 percent of the 73,956 requests it received in the first half of 2023.”

“The FBI and the DHS have created mechanisms to share info and coordinate with gaming companies and social media websites, according to a recent Government Accountability Office (GAO) report,” Breitbart News reported on March 14. The report claimed that the agencies were targeting the growing threat of violent extremism.

According to the site, the scenario has raised questions about constitutional and legal issues pertaining to people’s rights to free expression.
