Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, told Trump fans at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, “This will be the last election” if they don’t vote.
Musk told Trump that he had to win the election to “preserve the Constitution” and “democracy” after Trump asked him to talk on stage. He then told people at the gathering and watching around the country to sign up to vote.
“You have to win this game. Need to win. So I have a question for everyone in the room, watching this video, or watching the live stream. This is the one request.” Musk said, “Register to vote. It’s very important. Make sure other people you know are also registered to vote.”
He told them to text their family and friends right away. “Next, make sure they go out and vote. This will be the last election if they don’t. I think that will happen. There is no greater need.”
Musk said that most people at the gathering are probably “already convinced,” and he made an appeal directly to people watching from home, pointing out that voter registration dates are coming up quickly in key swing states:
“Everyone you know at work, in your text groups, on social media, and in real life needs to register to vote right now. In Georgia and Arizona, there are only two days left, and in Pennsylvania, there are only a couple of weeks left. If they’re not registered to vote by then, it doesn’t matter.”

Some 500 to 1,000 votes could make the difference in who becomes president.
There are many people who believe their vote does not matter. “Well, it does,” Musk said again. “It’s important. This race could come down to just 1,000 votes, or 500 votes, which is a very small difference.”
