After an LA Times op-ed which said, “Larry Elder is the Black face of white supremacy,” Republican recall election candidate Larry Elder fired back in a new ad, targeting Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA).
Forbes Breaking News offers the video. Elder asks, “Do I look like a white supremacist? I walked those hard streets. Newsom defames me and you and dishonors himself. His lackeys throw everything with the kitchen sink at my character becuase they cannot touch my ideas.
“You’ve known me 30 years. It’s not about political parties. It’s about Newsom. He’s an addicted gambler, putting his last few bucks on the line, certain this time it’s got to work. Fellow Californians, all that money he wasted was yours.
He added, “I’m Larry Elder. Recall Newsom. Elect Elder.”
The ad then includes an endorsement from the former Majority Leader of DEMOCRATS in the state. She said, “Our schools need big change.”
She added that Newsom “shut out public schools while he sent his kids to private school. Yes, I’m a Democrat but the recall of Newsom is not about political party; it’s about Newsom. Larry Elder for Governor.”
Powerful words. Let’s hope there are more people like her ready to vote in the state’s upcoming recall election.
