DeSantis Mocks Democrats Over Historic Florida Election

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) reacted strongly to his landslide victory in Tuesday’s midterm elections, claiming that Florida is where wokeness dies.

DeSantis’ words came after a 19-point victory over Democrat candidate Charlie Crist in his re-election bid.

With 88% of the votes tabulated, DeSantis led Democrat Andrew Gillum by more than 1.44 million votes, a remarkable increase from his approximately 30,000-vote victory in 2018.

DeSantis’ victory in Florida was so lopsided that he led by double digits in 60 of the state’s 67 counties.

“We have accepted freedom,” DeSantis told a cheering throng. “We have kept law and order.” We have safeguarded parents’ rights. We have honored our taxpayers, and we oppose woke ideology.”

“In the legislation, we battle the woke. In the schools, we combat the woke. We battle the awakened in corporations. We will never, ever give in to the awakened mob,” DeSantis added. “Florida is where the awake die!”

“Now, while our country is floundering due to poor leadership in Washington,” DeSantis added, “Florida is on the right route. I believe that reviving authentic American ideas is necessary for the survival of the American experiment.”

“Florida has demonstrated that it is possible, and we provide a ray of hope that better days are still ahead,” DeSantis added. “I am proud of what we have accomplished in this state.” I am grateful for your support and look forward to the journey ahead.”
