A guy who was detained in California late last week is an illegal immigrant who entered the country as an unaccompanied juvenile during the Obama administration and is accused of committing a number of killings.
Carlos Dominguez, age 21, who entered the country illegally from El Salvador in April 2009, had a detainer request filed against him, according to ABC 10. Dominguez was described in the paper as “an alleged serial killer.”
Dominguez, a former student at UC Davis, is charged with murdering two persons with a knife and trying to kill a third one nearby. The three distinct stabbings occurred between April 27 and May 1. He is now being held in the Yolo County jail after being taken into custody.
Dominguez was a third-year student up until April 25, the school said in a press statement, “when he became estranged for academic reasons.”
The statement continued, “We ask the community not to jump to conclusions or speculate until all facts are available. We appreciate law enforcement’s prompt action and successful outcome at this tremendously trying time for the college and community.
David Breaux and Karim Abou Najm were killed, while Kimberlee Guillory is currently a patient at the hospital.
From her hospital bed at the UC Davis Medical Center, Guillory said, “I’m thankful to be alive and that I was not killed.” “When he began striking me, I was in such shock. I assumed he was hitting me at that point. It wasn’t until after it happened that I realized he had stabbed me. From that, everything just sort of went dark.
“I’m happy they caught him. I was praying that no one else would have to experience this, she said. “Neither I nor the other two victims ever hurt him. He had no justification for going after folks he didn’t even know.
