Canadian Truckers Roll to Capital for Vaccine Mandate Freedom

U.S. truckers have joined their Canadian brethren in a ‘Freedom Convoy’ across Canada that has stretched to 45 miles long as the big rigs head to Ottawa to protest the country’s vaccine mandates, the Daily Mail has reported.

Truckers left from British Columbia on Sunday and will be met in the nation’s capital on Saturday by other protesters driving from the east and the south of the country.

“It’s 70 kilometers long,” Benjamin Dichter, a spokesman for the Freedom Convoy 2022, told the Toronto Sun, referring to the convoy after it passed Calgary heading west on Wednesday.

Some estimate that nationwide more than 50,000 trucks have joined in the protest. The goal is to drive to Ottawa to oppose a trucker vaccine mandate that threatens to shut down the nation’s trucking industry due to not allowing unvaccinated drivers to pass over the border.

The truckers could encircle the capital and literally shut down the nation.

The video shows thousands of people also lining highways along the way to express their support for the truck convoy. The images make it clear this is not the “fringe minority” Prime Minister Trudeau makes it out to be, but strikes at the very heart of freedom.
