A number of widely shared recordings of Joe Biden acting like a senior have raised concerns about his mental health. The WH has landed on the technique of gaslighting Americans by calling these videos “cheap fakes.”
The viral videos have just confirmed to the American people what they already knew: Joe Biden is too elderly and mentally disabled to serve as president. So what exactly is the White House doing, aside from lamely alleging the tapes are cheap fakes?
It was odd that Karine Jean-Pierre hesitated to state categorically that Joe Biden is doing well.
During Monday’s WH Press Briefing, Newsmax reporter James Rosen repeatedly pressed Biden’s senior propagandist to certify that Biden’s cognitive health is “good.” She either refused it or was unable to do it.
“Cheap fake films are misleading the majority of American voters, who have been telling pollsters for years that they have severe worries about this president’s cognitive fitness. Are you saying that to us? Rosen inquiring.
“Researchers have verified the falsity of these videos, even in the case of conservative media,” Jean Pierre stated. “Researchers have verified these videos’ falsity, even in the case of conservative media. They’re purposely being altered.”
There is no evidence that the recordings were edited to alter the context of the footage or change Biden’s actions or demeanor.
This is where the conversation became very intriguing, though.
“So, everything is alright with him?” Rosen inquiring.
“That is the case.”
“So, everything is alright with him?” Rosen reposed his question, obviously expecting a simple yes or no answer but failing to receive one.
Once again, Jean Pierre said, “That’s—look—…”
Rosen inquired, “He’s fine?” once again.
“In terms of achievements, the President has accomplished more in his three and a half years in office than the majority of presidents in the modern era. He is skilled at what he does, which allows him to do so. He is capable of meeting the needs of the American people.”
She continued to the official White House transcript, she continued by reciting talking points from the White House without responding to the question.
“With the Inflation Reduction Act, he can ensure that we combat climate catastrophe. He has ensured that we have produced 15 million jobs, of which 800,000 are in manufacturing. He was successful in ensuring a decrease in unemployment. He successfully ensured that Medicaid could genuinely engage in negotiations with pharmaceutical corporations. This president has accomplished something that no previous president has been able to achieve. I believe his record tells you everything you need to know. Right now, Republicans are focusing on these cheap, phony films instead of discussing the topics I’ve just mentioned. And it was done with malice. That’s my point of view. They are acting in total negative faith. And a lot of people, including conservative fact-checkers, have verified it.”

And with that, she quickly moved on to another reporter.
Jean-Pierre’s inability to respond with a simple “Yes, he’s fine” and her reliance on standard White House talking points regarding Biden’s record—which, paradoxically, has been extensively fact-checked—tell a powerful story.
Why not respond to the query?
I believe we all know why. Though they won’t acknowledge it, the White House is aware that Joe Biden is losing it, and they take offense at anyone who dares to raise the issue.
We already know what will happen next because the White House’s story of “cheap fakes” has gained traction in the media: reporting on videos that demonstrate Biden’s dementia will probably be restricted and demonetized. This poses a challenge to the continued existence and operation of conservative journalism.
