As Biden’s reelection appears in jeopardy, the campaign’s brain trust—if you can call it that—is losing heart. His polling versus rival Donald Trump is appalling, and he consistently makes falsehoods, slurs his words, and wanders aimlessly while in public.
Their desperate attempt to demonstrate that Trump is the one who slurs and freezes during speeches was palpable. The campaign released a video on Sunday that showed the former president and likely Republican nominee speaking on Saturday at the National Rifle Association (NRA). In the tweet, “Trump starts playing QAnon music during his strange slur-filled NRA address,” Biden/Harris HQ said.
As the music builds, Trump does halt for a while, but it does not appear to be a “freeze.” He does not seem perplexed, at a loss for words, or uncertain of what to do next. By the way, this happened after he had been talking for an hour. To put it another way, the Biden team’s perspective is wholly false.
“BREAKING: Donald Trump just glitched out and froze during his rally tonight,” said a post on Biden’s Wins, a website that bills itself as “the greatest online community of President Biden’s fans.” The post also included a repost of the video. It is obvious he is unsuitable to be in office. Please retweet this to make sure everyone in America is aware of Trump’s age.”
This is simply becoming ridiculous. They will need to do far better than that.
In a Truth Social post, Trump quickly addressed the matter, stating that Biden is the one who “freezes all the time, cannot put two sentences together, and can seldom make his way off the stage without help.” We have all seen precisely what Trump is talking about, so this seems like a more effective line of attack than Biden’s.
After that, Biden’s side doubled back on claiming that Trump froze, and there was more tit for tat. If this is the best they have, their situation will only get worse.

There are reasonable points of attack that Biden might make against Trump, but critiquing his mental toughness and cognitive capacity is not one of them; in fact, these kinds of criticisms only serve to highlight the president’s own severely weakened status to the American people. Guys, I think it is time to pull out Plan B.
