Megyn Kelly did not hold back on her SiriusXM show Wednesday, tearing into a Biden-appointed judge who ruled that gender identity should not disqualify individuals from serving in the U.S. military, despite the clear challenges posed by gender dysphoria.
Judge Ana Reyes, a radical leftist activist placed on the bench by Joe Biden, issued a preliminary injunction against President Donald Trump’s executive order banning transgender individuals from military service. Until a formal ruling is made, the policy has been halted, prompting strong backlash from conservatives who argue that this is yet another example of woke ideology undermining military readiness.
Kelly took Reyes to task for prioritizing leftist gender politics over national security, arguing that the military has strict fitness standards for a reason, and gender dysphoria should be no exception.
“The commander-in-chief and the secretary of Defense may not tell you that you cannot serve. You can be too short. Your anxiety can be a deal breaker, but thinking you’re a woman when you’re actually a man is a bridge too far for this woke leftist judge,” Kelly fired back.
Even more absurdly, Reyes referenced the Broadway musical “Hamilton” in her ruling, choosing the play’s woke phrasing over the actual Declaration of Independence to justify allowing transgender individuals to serve. Instead of citing the Founding Fathers’ words, “All men are created equal,” Reyes opted for the show’s leftist revisionism: “All people are created equal.”
This is the state of the judicial system under Biden—rewriting history to push an agenda.
Guest Rich Lowry pointed out the obvious: the military’s priority should be warfighting, not woke distractions. He explained that “gender dysphoria is not consistent with the rigors of combat,” emphasizing that the military should focus on combat effectiveness, not social engineering.
Meanwhile, Trump’s Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has vowed to eliminate left-wing social experiments from the military and restore warfighting as the Pentagon’s top priority.
Judge Reyes’ ruling is just another example of how Biden’s far-left activist judges are weakening America’s institutions. But with Trump back in the White House, these radical policies won’t stand for long.
