Because of President Biden’s “open border” policy, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) stated this week on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” that the government doesn’t know whether or not there is a terrorist “cell presently in our country preparing to move forward.”
“What are your thoughts on what’s going on at the border, where a couple of Iranians landed on the terrorist database?” asked co-anchor Brian Kilmeade.
McCarthy said, “This is one of the five steps in our plan to secure the border, and it is something I’m very afraid of.” We didn’t catch a single individual who was on the FBI’s terrorist watch list in the year 2019, but now we have 251. A message I wrote to the head of the FBI almost two years ago. He still hasn’t replied. Iran and other countries know that keeping an open border is a cause for concern.
According to what is happening to Israel as well as other locations all over the world, we aren’t sure if there is actually a cell in our nation right now that is ready to emerge, he said. Because of Biden’s policies, we are in great danger. So, one of the five steps that I believe we need to proceed with is to make this border safe.
McCarthy also said, “We identified people who came from Yemen on the terrorist watch list over a year ago.” Do you realize how hard it is to get added to the terrorist watch list? They are from 160 different countries, like China and Saudi Arabia. History shows us what a few bad people can do to make America less safe.
