Biden Doubles Down On Hilarious GOP Conspiracy

Are you prepared for an excellent joke? Here it comes: the White House claims that Joe Biden wants to preserve money for the police while simultaneously blaming House Republicans for wanting to defund the police.

White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates told Fox News Digital that Joe Biden “would not let Congressional Republicans starve the police, dismantle law enforcement agencies like the FBI, cut crime prevention, or repeal landmark legislation crucial to the fight against gun violence.”

It is odd that the White House continues to believe it can turn things around. Numerous Democrats have unequivocally said on record that they are in favor of defunding the cops.

There have already been attempts to assign responsibility to Republicans for cutting the police budget. The story actually dates back years.

Joe Biden supported cutting police money while running for president. He categorically declared his support in the summer of 2020 in a conversation with liberal activist Ady Barkan.

“Are we in agreement that we may reroute a portion of the [police] budget?” Barkan enquired.

Yes, without a doubt, said Biden.

As it became clear that the Defund the Police campaign was politically divisive, Biden attempted to shift his tone, falsely asserting that Trump was the one who desired to cut funding for law enforcement. It was unsuccessful. Important police organizations, including the Fraternal Order of Police, the biggest police union in the country, and the New York Police Union, endorsed Trump. The National Association of Police Organizations, which had supported Biden in previous elections, likewise withdrew its endorsement. Trump even received support from the Delaware Fraternal Order of Police.

A year later, then-White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki asserted, “Republicans voted to defund the police,” following the devastating outcomes of some Democrat-controlled localities taking efforts to cut back on police funding. The liberal media was unable to maintain the denial of Psaki’s absurd assertion due to the evidence’s easy verification. The Washington Post disproved it as well. When the leftist media is unable to defend you, you know you’re in the wrong. However, the White House failed to understand this and persisted in attempting to associate the Republican Party with the Defund the Police campaign.

Republicans “continually try to defund the police by voting to remove the COPS program the president created and are even proposing to defund the FBI,” according to White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates in a Fox News Digital interview in 2022.

According to the White House, the Fiscal Year 2025 budget plan of the House Republican Study Committee (RSC) intends to decrease funding for Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS). The RSC has responded by accusing the White House of failing to acknowledge that COPS funding has increased dramatically during the Trump presidency. They contend that this rise is the result of Democratic-led localities cutting back on financing for their police forces and then asking for bailouts.

Clearly, all of the Democratic attempts to associate Republicans with plans to cut off funding for law enforcement have failed. For far too long, Democrats controlled the movement. This is just another instance in which Democrats accuse Republicans of condoning wrongdoings committed by Democrats.
