AOC Could Be Going To Federal Prison

The Democrat congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, sometimes known as “AOC,” has been the subject of an ethics probe for months because of her stunt in 2021 at the MET Gala. She waltzed her way to the gala, where tickets for admittance cost $40,000 each, wearing a now-famous outfit that proclaimed, “Tax the Rich,” in bright red letters all across the back.

She was interviewed by Vogue and stated that the statement on her clothing aimed to reflect Latina women from the working class.

Her attendance was the subject of complaints from several private ethics watchdog organizations, and the bipartisan House Ethics Panel formally stated an investigation was underway in December.

“The Acting Chairwoman as well as the Acting Ranking Member of the Ethics Committee have both decided to extend the investigation into Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, which was forwarded to the Committee by the Congressional Ethics Office on June 23, 2022, in accordance with House Rule XI, clause 3(b)(8)(A), and Committee Rules 17A(b)(1)(A), 17A(c)(1), and 17A(j).”

But it turns out that AOC attempted to circumvent congressional ethics laws in order to attend, and that by failing to pay her invoices, she reportedly left small vendors high and dry. The core of AOC’s brand is that she is a former bartender who now advocates in Washington, D.C., for her fellow members of the working class.

AOC insists she has done nothing illegal and says she “takes very seriously” ethical standards.
